Important! If you get this wrong, you may have to redo the whole site.
Setting up your 1st page is important, as with many sites this page can be used as a template or cloned for all your other pages.
Click on View>page properties & select from the "center in page dropdown list" & choose "Centre this page in the browser horizontally" Then set the page length 600px & width 985 as a starting point
Now work from the far left of your screen to start making your BV page. If you go over the 985px wide you will have visitors with smaller screens getting side scroll. If you have the page set at 985px & all your page elements turns out to be smaller, find out what the widest point of your page is & set the page properties width to this size. An easy way to do this is pop a temporary shape on the page to the far left side & pull it across to the right hand side using the blue handles to the widest right hand point of the farthest element on the page. The shapes width/size can be read at the bottom right of your BV page & this is what you set the pages width to.
Usually best to have length of a page at the 600px plus, as some browsers don't have vertical scroll bars when a page is short in length. This looks odd when you have another page at 1000px long, you will get the impression that the pages are jumping from left to right on page transitions.
Remember that when you finished working on a page, “Save as” the pages new name. The 1st one being called index.

Some tips. Some not mentioned in the BV tutorials*
*Always build from the far left of your BV page.
*Make sure the blue handles are pulled in on all elements on your page as it will create extra page width if outside your page settings. IE: Text boxes & html boxes. (press Ctrl A to view all elements on your BV page to check)
Have your page slightly longer than needed & as it will not look very professional with text right on the base line. This can be done by extending a text box by hitting the return key or adding a text box with a full stop the same colour as the background & placing it 1 or 2 inches below the last point on your page.
